I have been making celebration cakes for friends and family for twenty-five years. Since moving to Milford on Sea, I have turned my hobby into a business.
What I enjoy most is working closely with my clients to co-design a unique and personal cake for their special day. Over the years, I have made a wide variety of classic and unconventional cakes, a few examples are profiled on this site.
In Spring 2021 I was asked to provide a regular supply of gluten free cakes for La Perle restaurant in Milford on Sea.
I am registered via the New Forest Council with the Food Standards Agency and have a Hygiene Rating of 5. You can visit the FSA website to check: http://www.food.gov.uk/ratings.
If you let me know any special dietary restrictions then we can do our best to work within them. It is important to note that I use my own kitchen and while every possible effort is made to ensure no cross contamination with allergens, I do bake with dairy products, eggs, wheat flour and nuts. Customers should be aware that these items are stored (albeit separately) and used in the kitchen.
It is really difficult to give a price range as every cake is individual and the cost will take into account the type of ingredients and the amount of work involved. I bake at home so my overheads are minimal, allowing me to keep my prices very competitive.
Bear in mind that all cakes are individually made-to-order, so a minimum of two weeks notice will be required for simple cakes and four weeks notice for more complicated orders. Bear in mind that traditional-style rich fruit wedding and anniversary cakes benefit from being baked several months ahead of time. While I will do my best to meet your needs, there may be times when I am unavailable or when I am too busy to take the order, so planning well ahead is advised.
When complete, the cakes will be boxed up ready for collection or delivery in time for your event.
