Mags held a party in her garden to celebrate her 65th birthday. She has a particular penchant for sea otters and so Ian asked if I could make a cake with a sea otter floating on it for her. Of course.. and look at the wavy candles i found! I couldn’t resist adding the chicken as I knew that a couple of days earlier four new chickens had come to live in their hen house. Lucy contacted me to order a 4th birthday cake for her son Noah. My remit was chocolate sponge cake in the shape of a ‘happy dragon’ but crucially, that it must be wearing a red hat! Here we go, always fun to make something like this. Hope you all had fun
A double celebration lunch today. Cheryl and Lin both had birthdays this week but way more exciting than that, they are soon going to have two new adorable kittens living with them. In anticipation, here is the lemon layer cake in rather stylised cat form which they have plunged a knife into and recklessly consumed this afternoon.
