Val is self isolating at the moment. She asked me to make and deliver half a dozen cupcakes to help her friend celebrate his 90th birthday. So I made these scrummy vanilla cakes filled with jam and topped with cream cheese frosting, fresh fruit and a chocolate leaf. Val wrote me a lovely thank you note this morning.
