Wedding cake from a proud Grandma
Freda’s grand daughter was getting married. Freda had baked the cake but wanted some help with the icing and sugar flowers.
Golden Wedding party twice over.
Betty had baked her own fruit cake for her wedding anniversary. She asked me to marzipan and ice it for her. She had made bunting and used yellow gerberas to decorate the venue which we echoed in the icing. She then confessed she was having another 50 guests to a second party! So I made a second cake and iced them identically. Congratulations Betty.
120 Fairy Cakes
120 assorted fairy cakes for a golf club Ladies Open Day. All home made fillings put together that morning ready for a 10.00 start. They all disappeared.

Geoff and Magsie had a lot to celebrate this year. A couple of big birthdays as well as a significant wedding anniversary. They wanted a cake for their multiple event party that was pretty but that reflected their passion for golf. All the decorations are made in sugar.

Two tier ‘frozen’ birthday cake
Double trouble. Three year old twins needed chocolate cake and ‘Frozen’ decorations. Mum had the requisite figurines and candles so I just made the cake in the obligatory ice blue and white with some snowflakes and a bit of sparkle and hey presto.
Az’s wedding cake
You may remember I met Az on a damp spring day to discuss the cake for her forthcoming wedding in Beaulieu.
Well, it worked out well and the sun shone on a beautiful wedding in between two days of torrential rain. Congratulations Az and Paul, all the very best for the future.

Another Betty who turned 90 this summer!
What a co-incidence. Two 90th birthday cakes for ladies both called Betty inside 3 months! This lovely Betty contacted me as her family were holding a birthday party for her in her garden to celebrate. She wanted a ‘proper’ rich fruit cake with home made marzipan, decorated in her favourite yellow and purple freesias. When I visited her to deliver the cake, she had finished gardening ready for her visitors.
