Jan and Julian have been married for 60 years. They have been on a lovely cruise with their family and are now having a party for their friends. Jan carried beautiful orange and yellow roses on her wedding day so here they are again, 60 years on as part of her cake. Inside is a rich fruit cake covered in home made almond paste. Delicious

The Milford Art Group are celebrating their 50th anniversary today at South Lawn Hotel. They asked my to make a big cake to use at their lunch party and provided me with a design. Underneath the sugar models is a vanilla cake layered with jam and buttercream.

I was lucky enough to be invited to Julie and Derek’s golden wedding party. We had a lovely dinner finished off with this lemon sponge, layered with fresh lemon curd and buttercream and decorated with yellow roses and a golden monogram. A lovely start to their weekend of celebrations.

Liz and Richard had an extended golden wedding celebration taking their family and friends away for a weekend in Dorset. They wanted a big cake to keep everyone going for the whole holiday and asked me to make it in the shape of their campervan. (I don’t think they stuffed everyone in it this time). Anyway, this is a huge chocolate cake iced as a rough representation of their vehicle. Vaguely recognisable I think and delicious I hope. Have fun everyone
To celebrate 50 years of marriage, Liz and Richard held a lovely party at South Lawns Hotel. They chose a lemon layer cake, iced in a design they saw on this website with a big sugar bow and a sugar bouquet of freesias and gypsophila which are the flowers Liz carried on her wedding day.
This is a cake that I made to commemorate the long and happy life of a very special lady who passed away earlier this year. Her family gathered from far and wide to remember her together. She had a wealth of interests but especially golf, bridge, her garden, embroidery and jigsaws. She was well known for her intolerance of squirrels, so I sneaked one on as the picture on the puzzle. Every last bit edible of course.
Rob and Mo have been married 50 years this weekend. This is a vanilla cake layered with jam and buttercream and then iced like a layer of a traditional wedding cake. Gold piping and hand-made yellow sugar roses top it off. Hope your party goes well and congratulations to you both
Happy Golden wedding anniversary to Pauline and Tony. Pauline carried a bouquet of yellow roses and Lily of the valley on her wedding day 50 years ago and her bridesmaids wore sea green dresses. As well as the sugar bouquet on top of thus rich fruit cake we have put tiny sea green flowers around the edge as an added reminder of the day.
The New Forest branch Of the RSPB are celebrating their 21st anniversary this year. They asked if I could make this big madeira cake for their party and provided me with the exact design to create. I was very honoured to be asked and delighted to do so.
