This cake catered for everyone. Wholewheat ginger cake on the bottom and gluten free chocolate on the top. Plenty of candles and sparklers to add a bit of pazazz.
Wedding anniversary cake spanning 50 years

Irene had kept the floral topper from her original wedding cake. It was carefully packed in a box and had survived unscathed for 50 years. Irene planned a 50th anniversary party but wanted a second cake to share with her friends at church the following day so we settled on this two tier fruit cake. I made sugar flowers which I hope reflect those in the vintage topper and this was the result. Very many congratulations Irene.
Carrot cake tier re-incarnated!

Ben and Charlotte had a very small intimate wedding ceremony on Saturday for which they saved the bottom tier of their cake. A little judicious repositioning of the sugar roses and who would know it had been at the bottom of a four tier cake two days earlier? And the bonus – plenty of carrot cake to go round.
Christening cake for Toby

Jan had made a delicious fruit cake and asked me to ice it for her for baby Toby’s christening on Sunday. We chose a simple piped decoration with a sugar broderie anglaise border. Have a lovely day everyone.
Wild rose and butterfly wedding cake
Ben and Charlotte had a lovely pre-wedding party in the surroundings of a stunning Tudor mansion. This pretty summer cake had four tiers of carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake, madeira cake and fruit cake decorated with sugar roses and little blue butterflies. Very many congratulations to a delightful young couple.

Birthday cake for a gardener
Geraldine wanted a cake for a family dinner to celebrate Kate’s big birthday. Kate has recently taken up gardening so we decorated this red velvet cake accordingly.
