Angus is 8 today and is having his party this afternoon. This is a chocolate fudge Minecraft TNT cake complete with a sugar Minecraft Axolotl ….
. Anyway, I trust this is what you meant Angus and happy birthday!

Grace is a fan of the Avatar films and asked me to make a cake for her 11th birthday. This is a chocolate fudge layer cake covered in midnight blue fondant and decorated to look a bit like the forests in the film. Her mum got hold of an avatar cut out and I made a sugar planet to back it up. I think the result was quite effective

Libby and her twin brother Richard, turned 80 this summer so I made this open book cake with a page for each of them featuring their wide range of interests over the years. Libby loves her cat, had a career in teaching and used to dance the night away. Richard was a plumber, a cyclist and a sailor. Inside is a lemon cake filled with fresh lemon curd.

Margaret and Alan both have their birthdays just two weeks apart. This year they had one big party to celebrate a bit of a milestone at Rays in Milford. They asked me to make this very personalised two tier cake to share with their friends after the meal. The bottom tier is for Margaret – a fresh lemon curd and buttercream layer cake decorated with flowers and butterflies. The top tier is Alan’s – a carrot cake filled with cream cheese frosting and decorated to reflect his love of playing golf. I know you had a lovely day. Happy birthday to you both.

For Sally’s big birthday she had a fabulous party at the yacht club this weekend. She loves chocolate and bright colours and gave me a list of her favourite chocolate bars and sweets that absolutely had to be on her yellow and pink cake. Inside are lemon sponges layered with fresh lemon curd and buttercream with a decadent dark chocolate ganache drip over coloured buttercream icing. I am so glad your celebration went off well Sally – I hope the cake helped.
