This is the third year that I have made Fearn’s birthday cake and now she is going to be 5. Her grandparents ordered this one for her party and came to pick it up this evening – what else would you have for your fifth birthday but a sparkly Elsa princess cake? Under her sugar dress is a multi layered vanilla and buttercream sponge and the best bit is, when the cake is all gone, Fearn can give Elsa a quick wash, put the original skirt and shoes back on and she will have the doll as an extra present. Perfect. Have a lovely birthday Fearn.

Dick and Sue planned a celebration lunch for their family and friends to mark their big birthdays this month. They didn’t want a fussy cake and chose this chocolate sponge filled with vanilla cream, coated in Belgian chocolate fondant. We kept the decoration simple but added a couple of sugar shells as a nod to their love of walking along the cliffs by the seashore.
Elaine wanted a cake that would reflect Her granddaughter’s passions and nothing pink Hannah is a committed Christian, and when she does not have her nose in a book she is out . She is also a top class physics student. So we have made a cake with piles of books, a map and walking boots, a bible and some impenetrable physics formulae piped around the sides. Hope you like it Hannah, happy birthday.
