Poppy Cake

Frances asked me to make one of my ever popular flowerpot cakes for her mum’s birthday. This sponge cake is layered with jam and vanilla buttercream and as well as the sugar trowel, there are gorgeous scarlet sugar poppies emerging from the chocolate soil.
